Product Description

Roke’s Taq 2X Colony PCR Master Mix with Dye is a ready-to-use formulation optimized for fast and reliable colony PCR. It includes all components needed for amplification directly from bacterial colonies along with a proprietary stabilizer that supports robust performance during the extended high-temperature lysis and denaturation steps required to release DNA. Built-in loading dyes also allow PCR products to be loaded directly onto agarose gels, simplifying downstream analysis and streamlining colony screening workflows. These master mixes include all components needed for a PCR reaction except DNA template and primers.

The composition of 1× Colony PCR Master Mix is Taq DNA polymerase at 25 units/mL, 0.2 mM dNTPs, 10 mM Tris-HCl at pH 8.3, 50 mM KCl, 1.5 mM MgCl₂, 5% glycerol, 0.4 mM Tartrazine, 3 µg/mL Bromophenol Blue, 0.02% Tween 20, 0.02% IGEPAL CA-630, and a proprietary stabilizer that enhances colony PCR performance.
